BIBLE ENRICHMENT MINISTRY
Pastoral Staff

The Wednesday night Growing in the Word Bible exposition consists of all ages. The Pastor teaches doctrinally sound lessons “leaving no stone unturned”. This is an opportunity for new believers along with mature Christians to study and learn more about God’s Word to increase their Biblical knowledge and improve their walk with the Lord. Also, our Pastor encourages, reaffirms, clarifies and gives practical examples.

“Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15

SUNDAY CHURCH SCHOOL MINISTRY
Deaconess Evelyn Goldsby, Superintendent

Children and adults are encouraged to attend these Sunday morning Bible classes. The children are taught the Bible providing the foundational studies needed for a productive life as a Christian. The adult classes are structured to provide more interaction with the Scriptures and concentration on life application of Biblical principles. Sunday Church School is a great start to compliment the Morning Worship experience.

“And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach…” II Timothy 2:24

CHRISTIAN YOUTH AND TEENS (H.Y.P.E) MINISTRY
Rev. James Wooten and Sister Veria Bolin-Page

This ministry encourages and allows all children, youth and teens to participate in a variety of specialized activities. The group is divided up by ages and Biblical knowledge. Activities include Bible based lessons, games, contest preparation and recreation. Our church has been blessed with Spiritual Leadership to help our Youth with Bible Sword Drill and Bible Memory. There are also opportunities for children to receive tutorial assistance with their schoolwork. The goal is to teach, train and assist our CYT in developing spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, physically and socially.

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22: 6

USHERS MINISTRY
 Deacon Raymond Hatton, President

This ministry exemplifies the meaning of service. They are the first contact when a person enters the church doors. The Ushers arrive early and leave late to ensure the building is satisfactorily prepared for the congregation. They must exemplify Christian characteristics at all times. Ushers know that “a smile increases their face value.”

“For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” Psalm 84:10

MUSIC MINISTRY
Sister Julia Taylor, President

The Music ministry assists the Pastor, ministers and congregation to experience the presence of God/Holy Spirit through music and songs. Rehearsals are held weekly on Thursday nights to prepare our music ministry members for singing and praising God in our Sunday Worship services. The goal is to meet the needs of all our church members with a variety of songs including spirituals, gospel and hymns. We carefully choose songs with text that is consistent with Biblical scripture. The Ministry of Music is one of the primary means to worship God.

“O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.” Psalm 95:1

GIVING MINISTRY

Church Family

This ministry involves all of our members and friends. The Bible teaches us in Acts 20:35 “…It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Giving allows us to express our love towards others, maintain our facility, assist the needy, engage in special projects, support our ministries and provide for our leader.

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” Malachi 3:10
